At the age of 25, Justin was struck and killed by an SUV on March 28, 2015 while walking along US Highway 501 in South Carolina. He was on a golf vacation with his friends.


An Outstanding student-athlete, he graduated from Huntington High School in 2007 with a 95 academic grade average. He earned a record of 118-32 in his five years of varsity wrestling, and is 10th on the Huntington career victory list. He went on to graduate from Drexel University in Philadelphia where he majored in finance and competed on the wrestling team. After college he joined Breaking Glass Pictures, a Philadelphia-based film distribution company, where he was the company's Chief Financial Officer at the time of his death.


Those who knew Justin describe him as a good friend and an outstanding leader. He was the kindest, most accepting, genuine and comfortable person to be around. He was bright, hilarious, and hardworking. With a great sense of humor, he always knew how to make those around him comfortable and smile. Justin accepted everyone for who they are and was was there for them in both good times and bad. He always knew how to put a smile on anyone's face at anytime.

In Justin's memory, a scholarship fund was created. The scholarship is awarded to a college or military bound senior varsity athlete who has captained their team, demonstrated exceptional character at school and while participating in their sport, and when in the community.

Candidate must be nominated by a faculty or staff member as one who exemplifies these characteristics and values.


Scholarship Amount: $4,000 ($1,000 a year for 4 years in college or military)
